What is Wellness to You?
Over the last decade, we’ve witnessed an extraordinary shift. From New York to New Delhi, Hong Kong to Jakarta, people across generations are asking deeper questions about how they live, work, age and love. Wellness is no longer a trend or guilty pleasure: it has become a necessity, a human right and — for many — a daily practice.
Here in Asia, this conversation feels especially urgent and uniquely rich. We steward the world’s oldest healing traditions, from traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda to medicinal plants, meditation and community rituals. At the same time, we stand at the frontier of cutting‑edge longevity science, biohacking, mental‑health innovation and personalised treatments. For too long, the stories connecting these worlds have felt fragmented or treated as niche.
The Art of Wellness was born to bridge that gap. This magazine is for all of us who shoulder so much: leading companies, building families, launching businesses, caring for ageing parents, yet still finding the courage to ask, “What does a truly well-lived life look like for me?” Our readers are curious, discerning and time-poor. They are not looking for quick fixes or empty promises; they seek depth, evidence and inspiration they can trust. Our portfolio also encompasses hosting premier wellness summits, industry conferences, prestigious award ceremonies and bespoke publishing solutions.
In these pages, you’ll meet doctors, researchers and therapists grounding their work in science. You’ll also encounter spiritual teachers, movement specialists, founders, artists and activists who show that wellbeing transcends numbers shown in lab reports. We explore leadership, longevity, faith, beauty, relationships, food, travel and personal growth — not as separate silos, but as interconnected threads in one evolving journey. Our inaugural cover story with Siwon Choi, captured in an intimate, joy‑filled shoot, reflects this spirit of wellness in motion.
True luxury is time, space and peace: the unhurried morning, the restorative breath between meetings, the retreat that reshapes how you see yourself and the world. We evoke this on every page — respite from the noise, and a space where you feel seen, supported and inspired.
As we launch The Art of Wellness, my hope is simple: that it becomes a trusted companion as you navigate your own path — a reminder that taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for those you love. When we prioritise our wellbeing, we do not withdraw from the world; we are finally resourced enough to change it.
I would like to extend gratitude to those who have believed not only in the power of wellness, but in me — especially Siwon Choi, Marie Kondo, Teo Yang, Jaeson Ma, Gina Brooke, my daughters Liana and Samara, and of course, the wonderful The Art of Wellness team. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
Thank you for joining us at the very beginning of this journey. I am honoured to walk it with you.
